You can reach the city in various ways and through various means of transportation, whether by plane, car or train. Oporto is a city that is well served in terms of communications with other European cities and other Portuguese cities. You can also take a boat ride over to Oporto, due to the existence of the Port in Leixões that receives cruises from all around the world.

By Car

Located in the Northwest of Portugal, Oporto is easily accessible by car from anywhere in the country and mostly through highways.  With a privileged geographical location, complemented by modern communications network, which allows those who come from Galicia, the Algarve, Lisbon, Coimbra, or any other part of the country to come to the city very easily and then move to any of these destinations. By car you can reach Galicia in about 2 hours and go to the Algarve in about 5 hours.
